Yukon Ombudsman hosts session on fairness in Aboriginal communities for the Canadian Council of Parliamentary Ombudsman

The Ombudsman for Yukon, Diane McLeod-McKay, hosted an educational session on November 18th for Ombuds offices across Canada on fairness and conflict management in First Nation communities. Speakers included Alyson Miller, who serves as the Fairness Coordinator for the Carcross/Tagish First Nation, and Hank Moorlag, who is a former Ombudsman and Information and Privacy Commissioner for Yukon and currently runs a mediation and conflict management business, with a strong focus on work with Yukon First Nations.
