Office of the Yukon Ombudsman, IPC and PIDC supports Bare Essentials Campaign
Tue, Feb 21, 2023
The Office of the Yukon Ombudsman, Information and Privacy Commissioner and Public Interest Disclosure Commissioner is pleased to join the Yukon Legislative Assembly, as well as departments of the Yukon government, in supporting the 2023 Bare Essentials campaign.
Ombudsman/Commissioner Jason Pedlar and staff of the office donated items to the campaign, which helps those fleeing gender-based violence.
"This campaign is close to my heart," said Pedlar. "Little things can make a difference."
The Bare Essentials campaign ran this year from February 1 to 23. Participants were encouraged to donate new items such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, body wash and lotion, shampoo and other hair care products, socks and underwear, and menstrual products.
The Ombudsman, Information and Privacy Commissioner, and Public Interest Disclosure Commissioner is an independent officer of the Yukon Legislative Assembly.
