Yukon Public Interest Disclosure Commissioner attends conference on whistleblowers and public integrity

VANCOUVER – Two representatives from the Yukon Office of the Public Interest Disclosure Commissioner, including the Commissioner and one staff person, attended an international conference on whistleblowers and public integrity in Vancouver, held on November 8th and 9th. Amongst other things, Commissioner Jason Pedlar chaired a panel entitled “Beyond the metropolis: Whistleblowers in rural and northern communities”. The panel included representatives from the Nisga’a Lisims government of the Nisga’a Nation, who provided valuable perspectives on experience within their communities.

The Yukon Public Interest Disclosure Commissioner is an officer of the Yukon Legislative Assembly.
