For Public Entities
The Public Interest Disclosure Commissioner (PIDC) has a number of responsibilities in respect of public entities. The PIDC is responsible to review and comment on disclosure procedures developed by public entities to ensure these procedures are fair and confidential. The PIDC is also responsible to notify public entities upon receiving a disclosure of wrongdoing or complaint of reprisal and to work with these public entities to correct wrongdoings and protect employees from reprisal.
